Sal Ferreras has been a prominent figure in the development of BC cultural events and organizations since arriving in British Columbia in 1980. As a true cultural catalyst, he has organized, promoted, directed and managed multiple local, provincial, national and international events. He has advised cultural and educational organizations and successfully advocated for the enhancement and delivery of cultural funding. on matters regarding funding equity, artistic policy, quality assurance and artistic assessment.
Sal has performed, spoken and lectured on the subjects of culture, world music, artistic diversity, and most notably rhythm and music on numerous English, Spanish, and French language radio and TV shows.
